The studio wardrobe is a wonderful perk of being a Cadeau Photography client. Each momma that comes in to be photographed has the choice of our carefully selected gowns. It is such a convenience to not have to worry about what to wear to a maternity or to a newborn session. When I search for a gown I look for the perfect texture, color and fit that yields beautiful, flattering photographs. Each dress is unique and beautiful, with a certain bit of romantic flair. While I have collected many gowns over the years, there are a few that stand out. These quickly become client favorites.

While looking through my 2019 images to collect highlights for my online portfolio, I realized that one dress was chosen over and over again by clients. It has been a favorite of clients, as well as of mine, and I can truly say that is is gorgeous. We have used it in my newborn portrait studio Tualatin, as well as in the Sherwood field many times.

Unfortunately the time has come for me to retire the dress, and I have to say I am a little bit sad. In preparation for this I have searched high an low for a replacement: a dress that would match the soft blue color, the flattering sleeves and neckline, and the silky, flowy ruffles. I recently received this beautiful gown, and am looking forward to seeing it worn in a session very soon!

A few things I like about this dress: the beautiful neckline can be worn as is for a flattering look, or with this pretty bralette from Altar’d State for more modest mammas. The adjustable waistline is flattering for non-maternity and maternity alike, and the back can also be adjusted for a variety of sizes.
