When we did the maternity photos Quinn, age 3 (going on 13) was super excited to meet her little sister. Only a few weeks later Reese arrived and came in for her newborn session.  Quinn wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to hurt her little sister. “Don’t worry, we’re getting some pretty pictures of her, Quinn!” I said. I love how concerned she was for her baby sis. And I also loved the way she wrapped her arm around her for the together pictures, and even gave her a few sweet little kisses!

My second and third babies are girls. I never thought much about the fact that they were close together in age, but now that they are getting a little bit older I cannot get enough of seeing their relationship develop.  I am always finding them in their room playing with dolls, cooking me up some delicious pretend soup, or dancing with their tutus on.  There’s nothing like seeing them grow up as bff’s!

So Quinn and Reese have a lot to look forward to. Playing dress-up. Slumber parties. Putting on Mom’s makeup.  Getting each other into trouble (although I doubt that; they looked like two perfect angels to me! :)). It’s all part of being sisters.  And Mom and Dad, get ready to chase away the boys some day; I bet they’ll be lining up!
