Handsome Mr. Asher came into the studio over the weekend and he’s as perfect as can be. So tiny, and yet so alert. He was very impatient with me as I was trying to photograph him and for good reason: he was hungry. The more he ate, the more he wanted it seemed, so I had to sneak some quick shots in before he wanted his mom again. I bet he’s going to grow tall and strong in no time at all!

And just as a side note, I have to mention this. I have a weakness for little baby boys. Oh my, they melt my heart. I think it’s because my first baby was a boy, a tiny little handsome one much like Mr. Asher. And when you first become a mother everything is magical. You’re on cloud 9 and nothing else matters. When you look into your baby’s eyes for the first time, hold him close and feel his heart beating, you’re done for. Time stands still and you fall completely, head-over-heels in love. That’s just the way it is. And when I fell in love with my little baby boy when I first met him six years ago it was for life and for ever. And every time I see a little baby boy it reminds me of those first days with mine. And I fall in love all over again, because that’s the heart of a mom I guess. I can’t help it.

So to this new family of three, never forget these moments. They’re the moments that will define your life from now on. Because starting now your heart is filled with another. With a tiny human being that will never let you go. <3
